RPC Recycle is delighted to announce that it has achieved ISO 14001 certification, awarded by QMS International Plc.
ISO 14001 is an internationally recognised certificate that evaluates and acknowledges a company’s commitment to managing its environmental responsibilities.
Justin Millar, managing director comments, “We take any impact on the environment very seriously here and we are committed to recycling mobile phones for reuse and also carrying out the breakdown of any parts in accordance with all WEEE directives.”
RPC Recycle constantly strives for excellence in its field and so joined the Federation of Communication Services (FCS) on May 7th 2010.
The FCS is the trade association for businesses in the telecommunications industry, promoting and governing best practice of a code of ethics.
The WEEE directive has been in place since 1997 and aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment. It also seeks to reduce the quantity of equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.
